The Museum School at Albuquerque Museum has provided art classes for youth for over two decades. The Museum School currently offers school day, afterschool, weekend, and summer classes to attract a variety of participants. Through this program the Museum creates high quality, creative opportunities for youth outside of school time.
Reggie Behl Award
In 2023, long-time supporter and Foundation board member Hal Behl established a scholarship in honor of his wife Regina "Reggie" Behl (1922-2011) for K-12 students who demonstrate passion and potential in visual arts. The endowment will help ensure that youth who have accomplishment and interest have access to participate in the Museum’s art classes, no matter their family circumstances or means.
