Your fully tax-deductible contribution of any amount helps serve thousands of K-12 students throughout our community.
Education programs supported by your gift:
Teachers can bring their K–12 class to Albuquerque Museum or Casa San Ysidro to explore the museums’ exhibitions through a docent guided tour and participate in a hands-on art making project. Admission for is free for students, teachers, and chaperones. Bus transportation is free for schools in Albuquerque and in the APS school district.
The Art Matters youth arts project is led by a group of teaching artists who bring authentic, engaging arts experiences to at-risk Albuquerque youth. Content is designed to engage participants in art making, with a focus on social justice, whole-person health, community, joy, and creative engagement at the core of our process.
ART WITH CLASS
Albuquerque Museum partners with a Title One Elevated Arts elementary school in the Albuquerque Public Schools to host an Artist-in-Residence program at the school. The artist works with students in their art class to create artwork which will be displayed during one of the Museum’s after-hours Third Thursday events.
