Celebrating the Groundbreaking of the Education Center

Yesterday at the Albuquerque Museum, we celebrated more than the groundbreaking of a new Education Center. We celebrated an investment in our community, our next generation, and the experiences that lead children from imagination to innovation.

As the Museum prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2027, we’re excited to be bringing a vision nearly 30 years in the making to life.

Each year, the Museum serves more than 10,000 students through its education programs, yet demand continues to outgrow the available space. The new Education Center will nearly double the number of children served, creating more opportunities for children, families, and people of all ages to learn, create, explore, and connect.

A vision decades in the making. A community coming together. Generations of possibility ahead.

The future starts here.

Thank you to the City of Albuquerque, our elected officials who continue to advocate for this project, Museum leadership and staff, Foundation board, donors, and community partners who are helping bring this vision to life.
